I am a freelance photographer, born and raised in Los Angeles. My photography is focused on urban and wilderness landscapes, but I like capturing the intersection of people, culture, and daily life too. I've spent the last 12 years of my life working as a community organizer in LA, mainly focused on housing and economic justice issues. Through that work, I have learned to appreciate the value of community and the important roles that each person plays within them. My day job has rooted me in a vast network of working-class heroes.

Since I was a kid I've been hooked on writing & recording music, taking pictures, drawing, and exploring our backcountry. Whenever I get a chance, I am off into the mountains. I love mountaineering and long distance hiking. So much so that I quit my job and hiked 1,000 miles of the PCT in 2017. I got some cool pictures, and even more terrible ones. Though I've spent my entire life enjoying the outdoors, that experience deeply changed me, and leaves me constantly dashing between the city and the wilderness.
